Research Interests:
I am deeply interested in the molecular basis of memory. My current research is focused on visualizing how the structure and the protein composition of the dendritic spine change during long-term potentiation or depression using two-photon glutamate uncaging. I want to understand how a modification can persist in a synapse while its proteins are continuously and rapidly recycled.
Topics:  Synaptic Plasticity
Model Systems:  Cell Lines, Mice, Rats
Techniques:  Cell Culture, Slice, In Vivo, Histology, Molecular Biology, Imaging and Microscopy, Two-Photon Imaging, Science Communication

Where I'm From:
Born near Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. PhD at Medical School, University of Barcelona (UB). Postdoc in NIBB, Okazaki, Japan.
