Advice from New PIs

A PILM Academic / Educational Event

Please join us for our next Picower Post-Doc academic event: Getting a Job and Setting Up Your Own Lab: Young PIs describe their personal experiences. In this installment we will have an intimate conversation with our own Weifeng Xu (MIT) and Marshall Hussain Shuler (Johns Hopkins) about what its like to be a young principal investigator at a top-notch research university. The speakers will spend a few minutes describing their individual backgrounds, how they got to where they are now, etc. and then the floor will be open to questions. So here is your chance to get the nitty gritty on the first year of true academic independence. Bring your questions and of course your appetite. Food and drinks to follow.
